One on One Learning uses curriculum-based assessments to monitor student achievement. These assessments may be administered within short periods of time to show results of tutoring. In order to ensure academic progress, constant communication between parents, the classroom teacher, and the tutor is encouraged. A progress checklist is developed that identifies the skills to be taught during the weekly tutoring session and the degree of mastery a student has reached. Once students successfully master a skill, the next skill on the learning plan is added to the learning plan. Students continue working on the skill set identified in the learning plan unless the director or teacher reports a lack of progress.
